Exhaust Extraction for Industry: Case Study Wacker Neuson Austria

Industry: Construction Vehicles and Machines

Our customer

Wacker Neuson is an international manufacturer of construction machines and devices from Austria. With its high-quality products, the company is among the preferred partners in the construction industry: Building, underground, road engineering, garden and landscape engineering, in municipalities, rental parks, industry or track engineering.

Our task

On its production lines, Wacker Neuson produces the widest range of construction machines: from excavators to wheel loaders to the legendary rammer. Blaschke Umwelttechnik was thereby commissioned to equip these production lines with an effective exhaust gas extraction technology for DME pollutants which are hazardous to the health. Here the goal was to design and install individual single work station extraction solutions. Every work station should be equipped with its own extraction capability. The systems should be affordable and easy to operate in order to ensure a high level of acceptance by the employees.

Our solution

Our customer Wacker Neuson decided to get a practice-appropriate single work station extracting version: manually operatable swivel arms with horizontal and vertical swivelling hoses. Depending on the work area – the extraction hoses are partially installed in the high-temperature model. We installed mechanical and electrical hose unreelers, with noise-insulated encapsulated fans and automatic fan control on each of the respective work stations of the different production areas. We use large-scale telescopic systems in our test cabins: They extraction out both hazardous materials from production residue as well as motor exhaust gases.
