Extraction system for the vehicle and washing stations of the Buchloe fire department

Sector: Fire, THW and rescue stations

Our customer

The Buchloe volunteer fire department primarily provides fire protection for the area of the town of Buchloe in the Ostallgäu district (population 12,300). Several large companies are also part of the catchment area. The fire department is equipped with modern equipment and has nine vehicles and three trailers at its disposal.

Our task

Blaschke Umwelttechnik was commissioned to design and install a mobile and automatically decoupling extraction system for the vehicle and washing hall with 10 bays. The aim was to create a reliable and tightly sealed system despite the different exhaust pipes of the emergency vehicles. The fan for exhaust extraction was to be started automatically.

Our solution

The advantages of our AirTrack professional system with compressed air and magnetic grommets convinced our customer, the Buchloe fire department, in our reference example. In this solution, the exhaust pipes, which are flush with the vehicle chassis, are captured with our specially developed magnet solution. We use magnets with a diaphragm for this. There is no need for an additional anchor plate on the vehicle chassis.

A compressed air pulse ensures the automatic disconnection of the extraction system at the door. The remaining vehicles are gripped 100% tightly with our compressed air grommet with patented push-off device. Thanks to the likewise patented door stop device, all systems remain at the front of the door and "wait" until they are unlocked when connected to the vehicle. This makes using the extraction system very convenient for our customer, the Buchloe fire department.

An energy-efficient fan unit ensures a consistently effective volume flow. This ensures that harmful exhaust fumes and suspended particles are removed cleanly and safely from the hall. When one of the hall doors is opened, the fan starts automatically - as required - and switches off again after a freely adjustable run-on time.

Stationary units were installed in the wash bay, which can be individually adjusted and connected depending on the vehicle and exhaust position.

"Quick extraction in an emergency? No problem with the patented Blaschke extraction technology. And the most important thing: our new exhaust extraction system effectively protects the health of our crew."
